The evening when Bientina's historic center comes alive with late-night shopping, live music, and summer flavors
The Bientina Merchants' Festival is the major summer evening event where the 'I Love Bientina' Natural Shopping Center celebrates the shops, artisans, and businesses that bring the town center to life. Promoted with the patronage of the Municipality of Bientina, in the lower Valdera area of the province of Pisa, the event turns the streets and squares of the historic center into a large, open-air social space where you can enjoy evening shopping, listen to music, and dine while strolling.
For one night, the heart of Bientina changes its look: Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, Piazza Martiri della Libertร , and the main streets are filled with lights, decorations, and themed installations. Shops remain open late, many showcasing their new collections, while food stalls and street food vendors offering local flavors line the route. Each edition features a central theme: from the fuchsia of 2025, a color symbolizing energy and sharing, to the 1960s Versilia atmosphere of the 2026 edition, complete with beach umbrellas and seaside-inspired scenery.
The program weaves together live music, DJ sets, and roving performances that accompany the public from one stop to the next. Local bands and guests animate the squares until late at night, while street food and gastronomic specialties allow you to turn your walk into a true open-air dinner. It is a festival designed for all ages, bringing together residents, families, and visitors from neighboring towns for one great evening.
Bientina is a small Tuscan town overlooking the ancient Padule basin, a land of agricultural traditions and a network of local businesses that the festival aims to highlight. The event is much more than just a shopping occasion: it is a way to make the town shine, support local commerce, and strengthen the sense of community, as the organizers of the Natural Shopping Center and the municipal administration emphasize every year.
The 2026 Merchants' Festival brings the atmosphere of the 1960s Versilia to Bientina: the historic center is dressed with beach umbrellas, pool floats, seaside references, and installations scattered along the streets to recreate the spirit of the most iconic summer season of the Italian summer. An immersive evening of music, flavors, and evening shopping, organized by the 'I Love Bientina' Natural Shopping Center with the patronage of the Municipality of Bientina.
Edition theme: 1960s Versilia, with seaside scenery spread along the streets of the center.
