The regeneration festival in the Alta Langa
In the small village of Bergolo, in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of the Piedmontese Alta Langa, the EcoFestival is an event dedicated to environmental sustainability, agroecology, and the care of places and relationships. Defined as "the regeneration festival of the Alta Langa," it is an invitation to imagine new ways of inhabiting the world, starting from a fragile and precious territory like the Langhe.
Bergolo, one of the smallest municipalities in Piedmont and an "Orange Flag" recipient from the Italian Touring Club, becomes a temporary home for listening and participation for two days. The core theme is that of "home" understood as oikos: the care of the environment, communities, and the bonds that hold them together.
The festival offers a wide range of activities ranging from non-formal education to artistic expression, from live music to ecological education:
During the festival, participants explore practices that regenerate: the land through sustainable agriculture and soil care, relationships through art and writing, and communities through the sharing of knowledge and tools.
The project is promoted by the Vagamondo Association in collaboration with New Wellness Education, the Alta Langa Cultural Park, and the Municipality of Bergolo, with support from grants from the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and the Fondazione CRC. It is an event open to all ages that also involves young European volunteers, confirming its international and participatory vocation.
For 2026, the Bergolo EcoFestival chooses the summer solstice, with an edition held on June 20th and 21st. The festival presents itself as "a space for listening, participation, and change," dedicated to the celebration of home (oikos) and the care of places and relationships.
Two days of art, nature, workshops, and conviviality transform Bergolo into a temporary home where one can pause, exchange ideas, and imagine new possibilities for the Alta Langa territory, in the province of Cuneo.
The program for the second day, along with evening concerts and other guests, will be announced and completed on the official website in the weeks leading up to the event. As per the festival's tradition, workshops, talks, live music, a sustainable market, and zero-mile refreshments are planned.
The EcoFestival takes place in the village of Bergolo (ZIP 12074), in the province of Cuneo, in the Piedmontese Alta Langa.
Bergolo can be reached by car from the Cortemilia and Alba areas; the Alta Langa trail network also allows for arrival on foot or by bicycle from neighboring villages, in line with the festival's sustainable spirit.
Admission and activities are traditionally free. For workshops with limited capacity, booking may be required.
Full program and updates are available on the official website and the festival's social media channels.
