A race to drink, not to win

Forget stopwatches and records: the Beerun in Pianceri Alto is a fun-filled, non-competitive run where the only real goal is to have a good time. Organised by the Pro Loco Cechin Pianceri Alto, the event brings Parco Cechin to life in the village of Pianceri Alto, part of the municipality of Pray, in the province of Biella, nestled in the green heart of the Piedmontese Valsessera.

Four kilometres of road and trail

The route winds for approximately 4 kilometres, alternating between paved roads and forest trails along the slopes that define this corner of Upper Piedmont. What makes this race unique? There are three beer stations along the course—essential pit stops where participants can pause to toast before continuing their journey. It is not about speed, but about team spirit and taking life with a sense of humour.

The race is restricted to adults: as the event involves consuming beer along the route, participation is strictly for those aged 18 and over.

From the race to the Beer Festival

Beerun is more than just a race; it is a full day of celebration. The bar is open from the moment people gather, and the atmosphere is warmed up by Spinox Dj's set, which accompanies participants from the start until the evening. Once they cross the finish line, Parco Cechin transforms into the stage for a grand Beer Festival, continuing with music, toasts, and great company.

The event is also a perfect opportunity to explore Pianceri Alto, a small village in Pray immersed in the greenery of the Valsessera. Promoted by a very active local Pro Loco, the Beerun is a cherished appointment for the local community, attracting runners, beer lovers, and curious visitors looking for a unique day out in the Biella area.
