About Beer Bubbles

Beer Bubbles is the major international festival dedicated to craft beer that transforms Palermo's finest living room—between Piazza Castelnuovo and Piazza Ruggero Settimo, in front of the Teatro Politeama—every June. Four days of tastings featuring dozens of craft breweries, hundreds of beers on tap, Sicilian street food, show cooking, talks, and plenty of live music. Free admission, with tastings via token system: a popular celebration that highlights craft beer, local food supply chains, and the new culture of mindful drinking.

Beer Bubbles, craft beer takes over the Politeama

Beer Bubbles is one of the most beloved and well-attended events in Southern Italy for craft beer enthusiasts. The festival takes place in the heart of Palermo, the capital of Sicily, between Piazza Castelnuovo and Piazza Ruggero Settimo, the scenic space that opens up in front of the Teatro Politeama. For four days, the city's finest living room transforms into a grand village of taste, with taps flowing, tasting counters, and an intergenerational crowd filling the squares from the afternoon until late at night.

Breweries, tastings, and supply chains

The festival brings together a selection of the most prestigious craft breweries from across the peninsula alongside the best of the Sicilian scene. Alongside the taps, you will find agri-food producers, distilleries, and food stalls offering local street food. The goal is not just to drink well: Beer Bubbles tells the story of supply chains, the relationship between beer, cuisine, and agricultural products, and promotes a culture of mindful drinking.

  • Dozens of Italian and Sicilian craft breweries
  • Hundreds of beers available for tasting on tap
  • Food stalls and street food featuring local specialties
  • Agri-food companies and distillers

Talks, show cooking, and music

Beyond the tastings, the program alternates between talks and show cooking sessions dedicated to the bond between craft beer, cuisine, and agricultural products, created in collaboration with local entities and Sicilian chefs. The evenings are punctuated by live music and DJ sets, with formats ranging from concerts to roaming sounds that animate the squares until 1:00 AM.

An event for the city

Promoted under the patronage of the Municipality of Palermo and the Metropolitan City of Palermo, Beer Bubbles is now a classic of the city's summer: a free event open to everyone, capable of uniting beer lovers, families, and the curious in one of the most beautiful and central squares of the Sicilian capital.
