The classic and racing car rally among the hills of Bastia Mondovì
A new event is making engines roar through the hills of the Cuneo area: Bastia Motori, the gathering dedicated to classic and racing cars, debuts in Bastia Mondovì, a small town in the Province of Cuneo overlooking the Langhe in Piedmont. The first edition is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026, and promises to be a spectacular day for enthusiasts, families, and curious onlookers alike.
The concept is a non-competitive motoring event designed as a recreational experience on closed roads: no rankings or official stopwatches, just the pleasure of seeing cars in action and hearing their engines along a picturesque route. About forty cars will take to the track, a mix of historic and modern, road-legal and racing vehicles, sure to satisfy both vintage car nostalgics and contemporary sports car lovers.
The heart of the event is the uphill route winding between the Isola Soprana hamlet and the Ca Bianca locality, at the foot of the hill hosting the San Bernardo Partisan Shrine, one of the most significant memorial sites in the Mondovì area. Road cars will also make a pass through the historic center of Bastia Mondovì, offering a show for those remaining in town.
The setting, among the narrow roads climbing the Langhe hills, is part of the day's charm: engines and landscape intertwine in a combination that is also an opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Province of Cuneo, far from the beaten path.
The event is promoted by Ad Astra Corse A.S.D., with the support of the Municipality of Bastia Mondovì and the Pro Loco of Bastia Mondovì, which has always been active in local community life. The collaboration between motor enthusiasts and local entities is the key to an event that aims to become a permanent fixture in the spring calendar of the Mondovì region.
The convivial aspect is not forgotten: a refreshment service is available throughout the day for participants and the public, ensuring that the pleasure of motors is accompanied by the enjoyment of local food and products.
As this is the inaugural edition, Bastia Motori is the perfect chance to witness the birth of a new event that combines a passion for four wheels, the promotion of the territory, and the community spirit of a Langhe village. A Sunday dedicated to engines, hilly landscapes, and good company, just a few kilometers from Mondovì.
