For nearly thirty years, April 25th has been the date the whole town looks forward to: Balangero in Fiore, paired with the Bollito Festival, is the flagship event of this town in the Province of Turin, located at the entrance to the Valli di Lanzo, in Piedmont. Organized by the Pro Loco of Balangero under the patronage of the Municipality, the day combines two souls: the horticultural side of the market fair and the gastronomic side of the festival dedicated to the Piedmontese mixed boiled meat.

A market fair featuring flowers, plants, and local products

Throughout the day, the streets and squares of the center are filled with stalls. You will find a wide display of flowers and plants of all kinds, designed for those who want to refresh their garden or balcony for the arrival of the warm season, alongside stalls selling typical local products, gastronomy, and handicrafts. An important part of the event takes place in the municipal garden, which hosts numerous local associations, while the evocative bonsai exhibition is set up in the town hall.

Piedmontese agricultural tradition

One of the most characteristic appointments is held in Piazza Sandro Pertini, with the exhibition of Piedmontese breed cattle and grazing animals, a showcase that tells the story of the agricultural and livestock vocation of the Canavese territory. It is an opportunity to discover the famous Piedmontese breed up close, which is the very foundation of the boiled meat that gives the festival its name.

The gastronomic heart of the day is the Bollito Festival: the mixed boiled meat is one of the iconic dishes of Piedmontese cuisine, served with the traditional bagnetto verde and bagnetto rosso sauces. The festival allows you to taste this specialty in a popular festive atmosphere, amidst music, entertainment, and the joy typical of village celebrations.
