Open-air cinema in the garden of the old station in Ora
The AurOra Filmdays are the summer open-air film festival of Ora/Auer, a bilingual municipality in the Bassa Atesina region in the province of Bolzano, in Trentino-Alto Adige. Screenings take place in the charming garden of the old railway station (Garten alter Fleimstalbahnhof), a green space that transforms into a cinema under the stars on July evenings.
The festival is organized by the AurOra association in collaboration with the Filmclub, the historic South Tyrolean organization that manages cinemas and screenings throughout the province and has brought open-air cinema to numerous towns in recent years. In Ora, this work takes the form of the AurOra Filmdays, as well as parallel initiatives like AurOra Alive, dedicated to the town's cultural life.
The unique nature of the AurOra Filmdays reflects the bilingual soul of South Tyrol: the evenings alternate between films in Italian and German, offering the entire community the chance to gather around the big screen. The programming blends major international titles with more recent productions, ranging from entertainment cinema to documentaries.
Each evening follows the same relaxed and friendly rhythm:
The AurOra Filmdays are much more than just a screening: they are a moment of social connection that enlivens summer evenings in Ora, a town nestled along the South Tyrolean Wine Road, among vineyards and orchards. The free, open-air format makes it an event open to families, young people, residents, and tourists vacationing in the Bolzano and Bassa Atesina area.
Immersed in greenery, with an aperitif preceding the viewing and the informal atmosphere typical of South Tyrolean towns, the festival is the ideal opportunity to discover the most authentic and convivial side of Ora, far from the large city cinemas.

Each event begins at 7:30 PM with an aperitif and continues with the screening at 9:00 PM.
