The summer festival celebrating Sicilian arancini and beer in Sant'Angelo di Brolo
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Arancino and Beer Festival is one of the most anticipated gastronomic events of the summer in Sant'Angelo di Brolo, a charming village in the Nebrodi Park in the province of Messina. Part of the vibrant "E…state a Sant'Angelo" summer program, the festival transforms Largo San Michele into a large open-air dining area where the absolute star is the arancino—the famous golden, crispy Sicilian street food—paired with refreshing draft beer.
The heart of the festival is the arancino, the island's iconic street food: a breaded and fried rice ball, traditionally filled with meat sauce or butter, though local chefs get creative with many other variations every year. During the festival evenings, stands serve hot arancini on repeat, accompanied by draft beer, in a simple and delicious pairing that perfectly captures the convivial spirit of Nebrodi festivals.
The Arancino and Beer Festival is about more than just food: every edition features live entertainment, music, and cabaret to keep the audience entertained until late at night. In recent years, the event has hosted well-known Italian comedians, cementing its reputation as a festive evening for all ages, capable of attracting both residents and the many vacationers spending their summer on the Tyrrhenian coast of Messina and in the Nebrodi hinterland.
Nestled in the hills overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Municipality of Sant'Angelo di Brolo is a true gem of the Nebrodi, known for its local products like hazelnuts and PGI salami, as well as a packed summer calendar of festivals and popular celebrations. The Arancino and Beer Festival is part of this tradition of hospitality and conviviality that, throughout the summer, brings the squares and districts of the town in Sicily to life every evening.
The festival is traditionally held in August, at the height of the holiday season, when the village fills with visitors and families of Sant'Angelo origin returning for their vacations. It is the perfect opportunity to discover the authentic flavors of Sicily and experience the genuine atmosphere of a village feast, amidst the scent of arancini and the joy of live music.
The 2026 edition of the Arancino and Beer Festival in Sant'Angelo di Brolo is expected to take place during the usual August period, as part of the "E…state a Sant'Angelo" summer calendar. At the moment, the official dates and the 2026 program have not yet been published: as every year, the evening is expected to feature arancini, fresh beer, and live performances at Largo San Michele. Updates will be shared on the social media channels of the Municipality of Sant'Angelo di Brolo.
