About Agrifiera

The Agrifiera of Pontasserchio is one of the oldest and most beloved agricultural fairs in Tuscany, held every spring in the "Tiziano Terzani" Peace Park in San Giuliano Terme, near Pisa. For over ten days, the vast park transforms into a showcase of the rural world: agriculture, floriculture, livestock, crafts, research, and innovation, alongside conferences, evening shows, a street food area, and plenty of activities for families and children. An event that bridges the rural heritage of the Pisan territory with the future of agriculture.

An agricultural fair with ancient roots

The Agrifiera of Pontasserchio is one of the most important and long-standing trade fairs in Tuscany. Its history is deeply rooted in the rural traditions of the Pisan area, dating back to the time of Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo. Today, the fair continues to draw thousands of visitors from across Tuscany and beyond to Pontasserchio, a village in the municipality of San Giuliano Terme (province of Pisa).

The fair takes place in the expansive "Tiziano Terzani" Peace Park, a green space spanning several hectares that serves as the beating heart of the regional agricultural scene for over ten days. Since 2025, the Agrifiera has been officially included in the calendar of Regional Events and Fairs of Tuscany, a recognition that certifies its identity and tourism value.

What to find at the fair

The exhibition path covers all sectors of the rural and green world:

  • Agriculture and mechanization: agricultural machinery, equipment, and cultivation products
  • Floriculture and gardening: plants, flowers, garden furniture, and nurseries
  • Livestock: farm animals, demonstrations, and the equestrian sector
  • Crafts and local products: local food and wine, and traditional rural trades
  • Research and innovation: precision agriculture, robotics, and new technologies, involving the University of Pisa and its agriculture and engineering faculties

Conferences, shows, and family fun

Beyond the exhibition, the program offers over a hundred events, including conferences dedicated to sustainability, biodiversity, digital agriculture, and energy, as well as a rich evening entertainment schedule featuring concerts, DJ sets, comedy shows, and themed nights. For the little ones, there is an entire medieval village with leather and wood workshops, an educational farm, pony rides, and falconry demonstrations. The experience is completed by a covered street food area and nature initiatives like the bioblitz on Monte Pisano.

A celebration of the territory

The Agrifiera is much more than a commercial fair: it is a grand popular festival that celebrates the peasant culture of Tuscany and the bond between the communities of the Pisan district and their land. Between tradition and innovation, it remains an unmissable spring event in Tuscany for enthusiasts, families, and curious visitors alike.
