The ultimate Ferragosto beach party in Montesilvano, serving as the official prelude to the Festival Dannunziano.
In the heart of the Abruzzo summer, the Adriatic Ferragosto has become one of the most iconic events on the coast. Every August 15th, the shoreline of Montesilvano, in the province of Pescara, comes alive with a massive, free beach party. The Jova Beach Area, located on the Aldo Moro seafront, hosts concerts and DJ sets from late afternoon until late at night, drawing thousands of locals, families, and tourists vacationing on the Adriatic Riviera.
What began as a simple Ferragosto celebration by the sea has evolved into a significant cultural appointment. For two consecutive years, the Adriatic Ferragosto has served as the official prelude to the Festival Dannunziano, the prestigious event dedicated to Gabriele D'Annunzio that enlivens the Abruzzo summer. This partnership has turned the evening into a bridge between international electronic music and local cultural programming, with the ambition of positioning the Adriatic coast as a premier destination for the Italian summer.
The festival is organized by the Municipality of Montesilvano in collaboration with the CREA Foundation and is part of the extensive Montesilvano Summer program, which features dozens of free-entry evenings. The stated goal is to offer free, inclusive, and high-profile artistic events capable of attracting international names to Abruzzo while enhancing the seafront as a space for social gathering and entertainment.
The formula focuses on the meeting of major electronic and national acts with local talent, all in a unique setting: the sand, the lights, and the sound of the Adriatic Sea provide the backdrop for a night of music that keeps the crowd dancing until dawn. Everything is strictly free of charge, in the spirit of a popular Ferragosto celebration open to everyone.
The 2026 Adriatic Ferragosto in Montesilvano features a top-tier headliner: Ellen Allien, DJ, producer, and founder of the legendary BPitch Control label. For over twenty-five years, she has been a symbolic figure of Berlin's club culture and one of the most influential artists on the international electronic scene. Her presence confirms the commitment of the Municipality of Montesilvano and the CREA Foundation to bring world-class artists to Abruzzo for a free event open to everyone.
The evening is free of charge and represents, for the second consecutive year, the official prelude to the Festival Dannunziano. Any additional artists and detailed schedules will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event.

Montesilvano is served by a railway station on the Adriatic line and is located just a few kilometers from Pescara, to which it is connected by trolleybus and highway. By car, take the A14 Pescara Nord-Cittร Sant'Angelo motorway exit. Given the high turnout, we recommend reaching the seafront on foot or by public transport during the event.
