A Day with Francy: the Salmour community gathers

A Day with Francy is the event that brings together the residents of Salmour, a small town in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of Piedmont. Born as a moment of affectionate remembrance and transformed into a village festival open to all, the day intertwines three values dear to the community: sport, togetherness, and solidarity.

A festival born from the heart of the village

The initiative is the result of collaboration between various local associations: the Pro Loco Salmour, the local AVIS group, the L'Arte degli Antichi Mestieri association, the Le Bolle play center, and ASD Salmour, all in collaboration with the Municipality of Salmour. It is this network of volunteers and associations that brings to life a day aimed at strengthening bonds between people and highlighting community values.

The day's program

The morning begins with the gathering of participants and a blessing, followed by a non-competitive walk through the village streets and the surrounding countryside, suitable for all ages. At noon, the appointment is for the convivial lunch, a central moment that brings families, friends, and volunteers together around the same table.

An afternoon for families

The afternoon is dedicated to children and families: the Le Bolle play center and the L'Arte degli Antichi Mestieri association offer recreational and educational moments, while ASD Salmour organizes a cheerful football match between parents and children, closing the day in a spirit of fun.

The spirit of solidarity

The heart of the event is its charitable dimension: the participation fee includes a solidarity contribution destined for the ABIO – Association for Children in Hospital of Savigliano, which for years has offered comfort and support to hospitalized children and their families. Participating therefore means spending a beautiful day in the open air while making a concrete contribution to an important cause.
