Historic and youngtimer cars on track at the Varano de' Melegari Racetrack
The Youngclassic Fest / ACI Storico Festival is one of the most anticipated events for vintage car lovers in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. The event takes place at the Riccardo Paletti Racetrack in Varano de' Melegari, in the province of Parma, and brings about 300 classic and youngtimer cars to the track, selected by a jury of experts based on originality, history, condition, and aesthetic appeal.
For the occasion, the circuit's paddock is transformed into a colorful open-air museum, where the cars are divided by decade. Among the featured brands in recent editions are Porsche, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Lamborghini, Fiat, Audi, Lotus, MINI, Bentley, and many others, up to models from the early 2000s. The event celebrates not only the most coveted historic cars but also youngtimers, those more recent models destined to become the classics of tomorrow.
The program is packed with dynamic activities. Participants can experience the thrill of the track day, with 15-minute sessions on the circuit, and take part in dynamic parades, guided processions at controlled speed that allow you to admire the cars in motion. Professional driving simulators are available for the public, while ACI Radio broadcasts live with music, interviews, and guests throughout the day.
The day culminates with on-track awards, presenting numerous category prizes and the coveted Best of Show title. The event also takes place during a weekend of great motorsport, coinciding with a round of the Italian Historic Car Speed Championship hosted by the same circuit. Organized by ACI - Automobile Club d'Italia, the Youngclassic Fest is a benchmark for Italian historic motoring and an unmissable opportunity to discover Varano de' Melegari and its historic racetrack nestled in the Parma hills.
