The summer review of music and culture in the Agresti Court of Traversetolo
Musica a Corte is the summer review of the Municipality of Traversetolo, in the province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna. Throughout the summer, from June to September, the review transforms the heart of the town into an open-air stage: the main setting is the Corte Agresti, the scenic space created in the civic center, joined on some occasions by the prestigious Fondazione Magnani-Rocca in Mamiano di Traversetolo, one of the most important private art collections in Italy.
The program is intentionally diverse and spans many genres and languages: from rock to pop, from classical music to opera, from great tributes to the voices that have made the history of Italian song, to cultural encounters and evenings of spoken word. There are also events dedicated to choral singing and operetta, striking a balance between popular entertainment and more refined proposals.
The strength of Musica a Corte lies in its choral nature: the review is born from the joint work of the Municipality and a wide network of associations and local entities, including the Centro Culturale Traversetolo, the Pro Loco, the Circolo Arci La Fontana di Bannone, A.Vo.Pro.Ri.T., La Bottega di Orfeo, the Festival della Parola, and the Societร dei Concerti di Parma. Several evenings also have a charitable purpose, with proceeds going to local volunteer associations.
Each event is usually held in the evening, with the stage opening and audience welcome in the late afternoon or early evening. In case of bad weather, events may be moved to a covered municipal space. The review is designed for families, music lovers, and visitors who want to discover an authentic corner of the Parma region, amidst the hills rising towards the Apennines and the Emilian plain.
The 2026 edition of Musica a Corte offers seventeen outdoor evenings from June to September, organized by the Municipality of Traversetolo together with local associations. The events take place in Corte Agresti and, for some initiatives, at the Fondazione Magnani-Rocca, spanning rock, pop, classical music, opera, tributes, and cultural encounters.
The review continues in the summer months with further evenings in July, August, and September, featuring musical tributes, opera, operetta, and cultural encounters. Over the years, the program has hosted events such as the AbbaShow, the Gran varietร d'operetta, and evenings dedicated to the great Italian voices (Mina & Battisti). The complete calendar for July, August, and September dates will be published progressively on the Municipality of Traversetolo website.
Traversetolo is located about 20 km south of Parma. By car, it can be reached from the city via the SP665; the nearest train station is Parma, connected by intercity buses. Corte Agresti is in the town center.
Many evenings offer free admission or free donations to support volunteer associations; some evenings are ticketed. The procedures vary from event to event: it is advisable to check the Municipality's website or the organizers' channels.
