The Olympic curling tournament at the Cortina Olympic Ice Stadium
Among the venues for the XXV Winter Olympic Games, Milan Cortina 2026, Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the province of Belluno, hosted the entire curling tournament. The competitions took place at the Olympic Ice Stadium (Cortina Olympic Stadium), in the center of the town.
The program included three competitions: mixed doubles, the men's tournament, and the women's tournament. A sport of precision and tactics, curling combines stone delivery and sweeping to guide the stone towards the target: a spectacular and accessible discipline, capable of exciting even newcomers.
With curling, Cortina d'Ampezzo brought major international events back to its ice, seventy years after the 1956 Games. The Olympic Stadium, the sporting heart of the town, was one of the symbolic hubs of the 2026 Games, set against the unique backdrop of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
