The queen granfondo of the Dolomites

The Maratona dles Dolomites - Enel is much more than a cycling race: it's a celebration of sport and the mountains that attracts thousands of enthusiasts from all over the world every year. Founded in 1987 in Alta Badia, it is now among the most prestigious and sought-after granfondos on the international calendar, so much so that registration requests far exceed the available spots.

Three routes through the rock giants

The event offers three routes that traverse the most iconic passes of the Dolomites, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site:

• Maratona Route: 138 km with 4,230 meters of elevation gain, the most challenging
• Medio Route: 106 km with 3,130 meters of elevation gain
• Sellaronda Route: 55 km with 1,780 meters of elevation gain, the classic four-pass loop

Cyclists will climb the Passo Campolongo, Pordoi, Sella, Gardena, Giau, Falzarego, and Valparola. The start is in La Villa, Alta Badia, and the finish is in Corvara. The long route passes through Pocol di Cortina d'Ampezzo, where roads are closed to traffic during the race.

An event rooted in the territory

The Maratona unites the Ladin valleys of Alta Badia with the Ampezzano region and the province of Belluno, in Veneto, in an embrace between Trentino-Alto Adige and the Venetian Dolomites. In addition to the competition, the event promotes a social and environmental message each year, with a dedicated theme accompanying the edition.
