Due Giorni con Astronomitaly is an astronomical observation event that takes enthusiasts to an altitude of 2,416 meters, at the Rifugio Averau, near the famous 5 Torri in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the province of Belluno. Here, far from city lights, the night sky reveals itself in all its depth.

Two Days with Astronomitaly

The initiative is organized in collaboration with Astronomitaly, the network that certifies and promotes the best Italian locations for stargazing: Rifugio Averau boasts the GOLD certification from Astroitalia for its stargazing experience. Two days of activities allow for the observation of planets, stars, and deep-sky objects guided by experts, in a context of high-altitude natural darkness difficult to find elsewhere.

An Experience Between Sky and Dolomites

The charm of the event lies in the union of astronomy and mountains: the backdrop of the 5 Torri, one of the most beloved rock formations in the UNESCO Dolomites, serves as a natural stage for observing the firmament. To fully experience it, an overnight stay in the refuge is recommended, allowing you to enjoy the deepest hours of the night under an exceptional starry sky.
