Trail running in the realm of the Dolomites
The Lavaredo Ultra Trail is an international event that draws thousands of trail runners from all over the world to the Belluno Dolomites. As part of the prestigious UTMB World Series circuit, the event takes place between Auronzo di Cadore, Misurina, and Cortina d'Ampezzo, crossing high-altitude trails at the foot of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
Five distances for every level
The event offers five routes designed for every level of preparation:
- Lavaredo 120K (King Race): 120 km and 5800 m of elevation gain, with a captivating night start from Corso Italia in Cortina;
- Lavaredo 80K: 80 km and 4600 m D+, the only race that starts from Val Marzon in Auronzo to finish in Cortina;
- Lavaredo 50K: 50 km and 2600 m D+;
- Lavaredo 20K: 20 km and 1000 m D+;
- Lavaredo 10K by Night: 10 km and 200 m D+, a night race.
A Kids Race dedicated to the youngest participants completes the program.
A world-renowned event
The start of the 80K from Val Marzon, in the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore in the province of Belluno, is one of the most anticipated moments: runners ascend towards the Tre Cime before heading to Cortina. Being part of the UTMB World Series circuit allows athletes to accumulate the necessary points to qualify for the UTMB in Chamonix, making Lavaredo a decisive stage in the international trail running calendar.
Lavaredo Ultra Trail — edition 2026
From June 24 to 28, 2026, the Dolomites will once again be the stage for the Lavaredo Ultra Trail by UTMB. Five distances, from the 10K by Night to the 120K King Race, spread over several days, based in Cortina d'Ampezzo, with the 80K starting from Val Marzon in Auronzo di Cadore. The Olympic Ice Stadium hosts bib collection and the expo, while Piazza Dibona welcomes arrivals and award ceremonies.

- 7:00 PM — Lavaredo 10K by Night (10 km, 200 m D+), night race
Thursday, June 25
- 11:00 AM — Kids Race
- 5:00 PM — Lavaredo 20K (20 km, 1000 m D+), start from Corso Italia, Cortina
Friday, June 26
- 8:00 AM — Lavaredo 50K (50 km, 2600 m D+), start and finish in Cortina
- 10:30 PM — Presentation of elite runners for Lavaredo 120K at the La Sportiva Village
- 11:00 PM — Lavaredo 120K King Race (120 km, 5800 m D+), night start from Corso Italia
Saturday, June 27
- 7:00 AM — Lavaredo 80K (80 km, 4600 m D+), start from Val Marzon (Auronzo di Cadore), finish in Cortina
Sunday, June 28
- 12:00 PM — Final award ceremonies in Piazza Dibona

How to get there
Auronzo and Cortina d'Ampezzo can be reached by car from the A27 motorway (Pian di Vedoia exit). The nearest train station is Calalzo-Pieve di Cadore-Cortina, with bus connections to the towns. Bib collection and the expo take place at the Olympic Ice Stadium in Cortina.
Registration
Pre-registration and regulations are available at lavaredo.utmb.world. Athlete briefings are held in Corso Italia in Cortina, with arrivals and awards ceremonies in Piazza Dibona.
