Chiavenna's Summer Festival
Among the events that light up the summer in Valchiavenna, the White Night of Chiavenna is probably the most anticipated. For two evenings, the historic center of the village, in the province of Sondrio, comes alive from late afternoon until deep into the night with a widespread program of music and shows.
A Widespread Stage
The event involves the squares and streets of the center — Pratogiano, via Dolzino, via Bossi, Piazza Bertacchi, Piazza Crollalanza, Piazza Ploncher, Piazza Pestalozzi, Piazza Persenico and the areas of Santa Maria and Santa Rosalia — with stages, music stations, and entertainment corners. Each area offers something different: live concerts, DJ sets, entertainment, shows, while shops and restaurants remain open late.
A City Celebrating
The White Night is a popular festival that unites merchants, associations, and residents, capable of transforming Chiavenna into a great summer meeting place. Over the years, it has become an identity-defining event for Valchiavenna, attracting visitors from the valley's towns and nearby tourist resorts.
White Night — edition 2026
The 14th edition of the White Night of Chiavenna is scheduled for Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, 2026. For two nights, the historic center will host live music, DJ sets, entertainment shows, and the late-night opening of shops, involving Pratogiano, via Dolzino, via Bossi, Piazza Bertacchi, Piazza Crollalanza, Piazza Ploncher, Piazza Pestalozzi, Piazza Persenico, and the areas of Santa Maria and Santa Rosalia.

The detailed program with stages and times will be published by the organization closer to the event. The usual structure includes, on both evenings:
- Live concerts and DJ sets in several squares in the center (Pratogiano, Piazza Bertacchi, Piazza Pestalozzi, and others)
- Entertainment shows and animation along via Dolzino and via Bossi
- Late-night opening of shops and restaurants
The areas involved also include the Santa Maria and Santa Rosalia zones.
