The cheese-themed white night through the Baroque streets of Ragusa Ibla
WeCheese - ONAF White Night of Ragusano DOP is the event that, from July 23 to 26, 2026, lights up the Baroque district of Ragusa Ibla, in the municipality of Ragusa, Sicily. The event was created as part of the rich Ragusa City of Cheese 2026 calendar, a title awarded by ONAF (National Organization of Cheese Tasters) to celebrate the agro-pastoral identity of the Iblean territory and its most famous dairy excellence for an entire year.
At the heart of the festival is Ragusano DOP, one of Sicily's oldest cheeses, produced on the Iblean plateaus of the province of Ragusa, where animal husbandry, landscape, and material culture have been closely linked for centuries. Alongside it, other local traditional cheeses are showcased, from Cosacavaddu Ibleo to Provola Ragusana, representing an area that concentrates a large part of the regional dairy production.
