Guido Harari's photography exhibition in the village of Monforte d'Alba
Wall of Sound 20.0 is the photography exhibition that, during the summer of 2026, transforms the Confraternita di Sant'Agostino in Monforte d'Alba into a gallery dedicated to music's greatest icons. The exhibition brings the work of Guido Harari—one of Italy's most prominent music photographers, who has lived in Alba since 2011 and founded the Wall of Sound Gallery—to the heart of the Langhe, in the province of Cuneo, southern Piedmont.
The exhibition serves as a companion to the renowned Monfortinjazz festival, and in 2026 it takes on special significance: the "20.0" in the title marks twenty years since Harari's first exhibition in the village. The show engages in a dialogue with the festival's half-century history, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, weaving together the visual memory of artists who have graced the stage with the musical history of Monforte.
The exhibition features intimate and iconic shots of rock, jazz, and pop legends. Many of the subjects were hosted and photographed during past editions of Monfortinjazz, creating a journey through decades of memorable concerts.
The Confraternita di Sant'Agostino is located in the historic center of Monforte d'Alba, a hilltop village overlooking the Barolo vineyards and nestled within the Langhe wine landscape. The exhibition is housed in this historic space next to the Auditorium Horszowski, the famous open-air amphitheater that hosts the festival's concerts, offering visitors an experience that blends music, photography, and the heritage of the Piedmontese territory.
For fans of music and imagery, Wall of Sound 20.0 is a chance to relive half a century of musical culture through the eyes of an author who has documented its protagonists up close. A visit to the exhibition pairs naturally with the Monfortinjazz concert evenings, making Monforte d'Alba an exceptional destination for the Langhe's cultural summer.
During the summer of 2026, the Confraternita di Sant'Agostino in Monforte d'Alba hosts Wall of Sound 20.0, the photography exhibition by Guido Harari, running from June 26 to August 2 as a companion to the Monfortinjazz festival, which celebrates its fiftieth anniversary.
The exhibition gathers intimate and iconic shots of great international and Italian music legends, from Bob Dylan to Paolo Conte, as well as contemporary jazz performers like Stefano Bollani, Paolo Fresu, and Wayne Shorter, many of whom were photographed during past editions of the festival in the Langhe.
The exhibition accompanies the entire duration of the Monfortinjazz 2026 festival, featuring a display of portraits of rock, jazz, and pop legends signed by Guido Harari. Featured artists for the concert evenings include Tony Hadley (June 26), Stefano Bollani and Enrico Rava (July 3), Paolo Fresu with the Heroes project (July 18), Suzanne Vega (July 24), and Vinicio Capossela (August 2).
