The beer festival in the heart of the Madonie
The Vucciria Beer Festival has become one of the most anticipated summer events in the Palermo hinterland. It takes place in Geraci Siculo, a small medieval village within the Madonie Park, recognized as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy (Borghi più belli d'Italia) and dominated by the ruins of the Ventimiglia Castle. For three nights, the festival brings the Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza Municipio to life, filling the stone alleys with a festive atmosphere that draws visitors from all over Sicily.
Craft beer, street food, and local products
The heart of the event is craft beer: numerous taps offer a wide selection of styles and brews, often highlighting the Sicilian brewing scene. Accompanying the tastings are street food stalls and agricultural and pastoral products typical of the Madonie, from cheeses to meat specialties, showcasing the region's gastronomic traditions. As the first beer festival established in the Madonie, the event perfectly blends brewing culture with the promotion of local flavours.
Live music and DJ sets until late
Each evening is marked by live concerts and DJ sets that turn the historic centre into an open-air dance floor. Past editions have featured a rotating lineup of musical groups, contests for local Madonie DJs, entertainment shows, and activities for children, making the festival suitable for families and visitors of all ages.

How to get there
Geraci Siculo is located in the Madonie Park, in the province of Palermo. By car, it can be reached from the A19 Palermo-Catania motorway (exit Tre Monzelli or Buonfornello), continuing towards the interior of the Madonie along the SS120. The nearest airport is Palermo (Punta Raisi).
Admission and hours
Admission to the festival is free; beer and food can be purchased at the individual stalls. The evenings generally run from late afternoon until late at night along Corso Vittorio Emanuele and in Piazza Municipio.
