The Sea and Taste Festival is a traveling event that brings the Golden Coast—the stretch of Tyrrhenian coastline between Bagheria and Pollina in the province of Palermo—to life throughout the summer. The event is promoted by the FLAG GALP Golfo di Termini Imerese with the aim of highlighting the maritime economy, local cultural identity, and sustainable, authentic tourism. Among the ten participating municipalities is Campofelice di Roccella, a town in the Palermo area overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, known for its historic Torre di Roccella and its beaches, which hosts one of the most anticipated evenings of the festival in Piazzetta Anna Frank.

Seafood flavors and sunset music

The format of the evening is what has made the festival a beloved appointment all along the Golden Coast: it begins at dusk, around 7:30 PM, with a free tasting of local seafood prepared according to traditional Sicilian recipes, and continues at 9:00 PM with a jazz concert under the stars. In Campofelice di Roccella, the public has been able to savor dishes such as sarde a beccafico, pasta with sardines and wild fennel, couscous with seafood, anchovy meatballs in sauce, caponata with fried octopus, and swordfish bites with honey and mint—a culinary journey that tells the story of the deep bond between the village and its sea.
