A street festival in the heart of the Dolomites

The Völser Straßenfest, literally the "street festival of Völs," is one of the most cherished summer events for the community of Fiè allo Sciliar/Völs am Schlern, a charming town in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, in Trentino-Alto Adige. Resting at the foot of the Sciliar massif and at the gateway to the Alpe di Siusi, the village opens its streets and its main square, the Dorfplatz, for an open-air evening that blends flavors, music, and conviviality.

Flea market, music, and gastronomy

The festival program revolves around three key elements that intertwine throughout the evening:

• The flea market (Flohmarkt): Stalls filled with second-hand treasures, curiosities, and unique finds to browse until late in the evening.
• Live music: Local bands and musicians perform, creating the authentic atmosphere typical of South Tyrolean village festivals.
• Gastronomic offerings: Food and drinks are provided by the Ferrarifreunde Völs am Schlern, the association that organizes and hosts the event, featuring specialties to be enjoyed outdoors.

The Völser Straßenfest takes place during the summer, when Fiè allo Sciliar welcomes numerous holidaymakers enjoying hikes on the Sciliar and days on the Alpe di Siusi. The festival serves as a meeting point for locals and tourists alike, in an informal and family-friendly atmosphere that reflects the spirit of South Tyrolean village fairs. Admission is free, and the event is held in the village center, which is easily accessible on foot.
