About Visioni di... Vino

Visioni di... Vino is the summer festival in Carosino, in the province of Taranto, blending cinema, theatre, and food and wine in the evocative setting of the courtyard of the Castello Feudale d'Ayala Valva. Promoted by CarusTeatro Aps and artistically directed by Davide Roselli, it features seven evenings of film screenings and live performances, each introduced by a convivial food and wine tasting session showcasing local Apulian products.

A festival that unites the big screen, the stage, and the wine glass

Visioni di... Vino - Theatre and Cinema is the cultural festival that brings Carosino to life every summer, a small wine-producing town in the Province of Taranto, Apulia. Born in 2024 from an idea by CarusTeatro Aps and curated by artistic director Davide Roselli, the event has quickly established an original formula: a journey alternating between film screenings and theatrical performances, always accompanied by tastings of typical local products.

The setting: Castello d'Ayala Valva

The heart of the festival is the courtyard of the Castello Feudale d'Ayala Valva, one of the most iconic landmarks in Carosino's historic centre. Beneath the castle walls, in the open air, the audience enjoys the evenings in an intimate and evocative atmosphere, transforming every appointment into an experience halfway between a cinema hall and a court theatre.

Seven evenings of cinema and theatre

The programme consists of seven events: four film screenings and three theatrical performances. Each evening, gates open at 8:30 PM with the show starting at 9:00 PM, featuring an affordable entry ticket designed to make culture accessible to the entire community.

Wine and local flavours take centre stage

The hallmark of Visioni di... Vino is its deep connection to the agricultural and oenological vocation of the region. Each evening begins with a convivial food & wine moment: a tasting of typical products offered by local wineries, bakeries, and farms. Cinema and theatre thus become an opportunity to reflect on the identity of a land historically tied to vine cultivation, through themes of agriculture, labour, oenology, and the environment.

A community project

The festival is held under the patronage of the Municipality of Carosino, the Apulia Region, and the Province of Taranto, and is the result of the voluntary work of the CarusTeatro Aps association together with numerous local food and wine partners. An event that, edition after edition, confirms the desire of this small town in the Taranto area to create culture starting from its own roots.

Visioni di... Vino โ€” edition 2026

The third edition of Visioni di... Vino returns to Carosino starting Thursday, 25 June 2026, in the courtyard of the Castello Feudale d'Ayala Valva. Seven evenings of cinema and theatre, each opened by a food and wine tasting of local products, with tickets at 6 euros.

2026 Edition: the third season

The third edition of Visioni di... Vino confirms the formula that has made the festival an anticipated event in Carosino: seven evenings in the courtyard of the Castello Feudale d'Ayala Valva, featuring four film screenings and three theatrical performances, all preceded by a convivial tasting of typical products from the Taranto area. The 2026 edition opens on Thursday, 25 June and continues throughout the summer, under the patronage of the Municipality of Carosino, the Apulia Region, and the Province of Taranto.

The common thread remains the relationship between man and the land, expressed through the themes of agriculture, labour, oenology, and the environment.
