The ultimate wine and gourmet food festival in Villa Borghese
Every September, Vinòforum transforms Piazza di Siena, in the green heart of Villa Borghese in Rome, into Italy's largest stage dedicated to wine and haute cuisine. Established in 2004, the event has become an unmissable appointment for enthusiasts, professionals, and curious foodies alike who wish to explore the world of fine food and wine in a uniquely scenic environment. The 23rd edition is scheduled from September 7 to 13, 2026.
Vinòforum is, first and foremost, a massive showcase for Italian wine: over 800 wineries and consortia from every region are expected, with approximately 3,200 labels available for tasting at the booths. Alongside wine, the event highlights extra virgin olive oil, premium cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano, and artisan pizza, in a journey that weaves together tasting, culture, and education.
The beating heart of the event is the Wine Top Tasting series, masterclasses held twice nightly that guide the public through the discovery of Italian and international wineries, denominations, and wine regions. These are complemented by Temporary Restaurants, where dozens of eateries offer their signature dishes, exclusive The Night Dinner events, and Pizza d'Autore paths curated by master pizza makers. There are also dedicated spaces for education, with introductory courses on wine and extra virgin olive oil.
Among the most anticipated events is the final of La Città della Pizza, the national competition that rewards new talents in the art of dough: on the final evening, emerging young pizza makers compete for the title of Pizza Maker of the Year before a jury of experts and the public.
Strolling through the tasting booths at sunset, glass in hand, against the backdrop of the famous 19th-century Piazza di Siena hippodrome, is an experience that blends taste with beauty. Vinòforum is much more than a fair: it is a widespread celebration that enlivens the late summer evenings of the Capital and confirms Rome as one of the food and wine capitals of Lazio and Italy.
The 23rd edition of Vinòforum returns to Piazza di Siena, at Villa Borghese, from September 7 to 13, 2026. Seven evenings of tastings, haute cuisine, and education, with over 800 wineries and consortia and approximately 3,200 labels at the tasting booths. Extra virgin olive oil, Parmigiano Reggiano, and artisan pizza are also protagonists, alongside masterclasses, exclusive dinners, and meetings with great chefs and master pizza makers.
Vinòforum 2026 enlivens Piazza di Siena for seven evenings, from September 7 to 13, with opening hours approximately from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM (Monday-Thursday) and until 1:00 AM (Friday and Saturday). The official inauguration is Monday, September 7, at 7:00 PM.
The detailed calendar of individual masterclasses and dinners, with times and guests, is published progressively on the official website.
Piazza di Siena is located inside Villa Borghese, in Rome. By metro, the most convenient stop is Spagna (Line A), from which you can reach the park on foot via the Villa Borghese exit; other useful stops are Flaminio (Line A) and Barberini. Numerous bus lines serve the areas of Piazzale Flaminio, Porta Pinciana, and Via Veneto. Given the central location and the ZTL (limited traffic zone), the use of public transport is highly recommended.
The event takes place in the evening: approximately from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM (Monday to Thursday) and until 1:00 AM (Friday and Saturday). The inauguration is scheduled for Monday, September 7, at 7:00 PM.
Admission is paid, with tickets and tasting vouchers available for purchase online (pre-sale) and on-site. In previous editions, the ticket included a wine glass and a tasting voucher booklet. For updated rates and purchasing, please consult the official website vinoforum.it.
