A historic market in the heart of North Rome

The Villaggio Olimpico Market is one of the most characteristic local markets in Rome, located in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, in the Lazio region. Every Friday morning, since the late 1980s, the streets branching out behind the CONI building—in the district built for the 1960 Olympics—fill with stalls, voices, and colors. The hub is the Viale della XVII Olimpiade, which is closed to traffic for the occasion, just a few steps from the Auditorium Parco della Musica designed by Renzo Piano.
