Wine arrives in Ostia Lido

Vini da Mare is the food and wine festival that brings the world of wine to the coast of Rome every summer, in the Ostia Lido district. The event takes place in Piazza Anco Marzio, the famous lounge overlooking the sea, which for the occasion comes alive with tasting booths, live cooking, and music under the stars. Organized by Romevents with the patronage of Roma Capitale and Municipio X, the event has become one of the highlights that open the capital's summer season over the years.

A story that changes its name but not its spirit

The festival has gone through various names while maintaining the same winning formula: born as Un Mare diVino, reaching its sixth edition in 2024 with over a hundred labels for tasting, it then became Vinidamare in 2025 and finally Vini da Mare. The common thread remains unchanged: to showcase the best Italian white, rosé, and sparkling wines in a convivial setting just a few steps from the beach.

Tastings and wineries

The heart of the event is the tasting path, featuring over 50 labels selected from wineries and companies in Lazio and across Italy. Among the featured names are Casale del Giglio, Mionetto, Villa Cavalletti, and Tenuta Le Quinte. There is also a corner dedicated to craft beer and a gastronomic area with offerings curated by local chefs.

Each evening is accompanied by shows and music, with a program that combines comedy, theater, and live performances to make the experience complete and suitable for a wide audience.

A stone's throw from the sea

The setting of Ostia Lido, the historic seaside promenade of the Romans in Municipio X, gives the event a unique atmosphere: the sunset over the Tyrrhenian Sea, the sea breeze, and the liveliness of Piazza Anco Marzio provide the backdrop for the evenings. An opportunity to discover Italian oenology and, at the same time, experience the capital's coast during the most beautiful time of the year. Entry to the event is free, while the tasting path is reserved for those who purchase the dedicated glass.
