About Cadenze Letterarie
A literary salon on the Fiumicino seaside
Cadenze Letterarie was born on February 27, 2025, on the Roman coast with a clear goal: to provide citizens with free meeting spaces where culture becomes an opportunity for dialogue, exchange, and shared growth. Conceived and curated by the Sicilian journalist and writer Dino Tropea, the format established itself within a few months as one of the most recognizable events in the Municipality of Fiumicino, in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, within the Lazio Region.
A multidisciplinary model
What sets Cadenze Letterarie apart is the choice not to stop at the classic book presentation. Each evening connects four different languages, following the formula « Between Pages, Sounds, and Visions »:
- Literature — the guest author discusses their work, with readings performed by professional readers;
- Psychology — a clinical contribution that expands the book's theme to the social dimension, from adolescent fragility to the prevention of isolation;
- Visual Arts — local artists exhibit works created for the evening, which enter into dialogue with the text;
- Live Music — young performers and experimental musicians accompany the reading journey.
La Grooveria, home of the series
The usual venue is La Grooveria, at Lungomare della Salute 53, a space that, thanks to the series, has transformed into a literary salon of the coast: free, inclusive, and non-profit, capable of giving voice to authors and welcoming readers in an intimate and informal environment. In summer, the series leaves the venue and reaches the Darsena of Fiumicino, where it is included in the municipal « Sere d'Estate » (Summer Evenings) program.
A calendar that spans the whole year
Cadenze Letterarie is not a festival concentrated in a few days but a series held almost monthly, with over a dozen official appointments per year. This regular rhythm has created a community of loyal readers: some evenings have been sold out, and it is not uncommon for passersby on the promenade to join the registered audience, intrigued by the music and outdoor readings.
Authors, artists, and guests
Throughout its editions, the series has hosted writers from all over Italy, along with psychologists, journalists, librarians, and educators. On the artistic side, masters such as Salvatore Fazio, author of the work « Cadenze Letterarie » created specifically to represent the visual identity of the format, Franco Piratoni, and Giuseppe Basso have taken turns. The organization is managed by Rockin' Lovers ETS, a cultural association that promotes the arts as a tool for social bonding, with the patronage of the Municipality of Fiumicino.

The 2026 calendar of the series spanned the entire first half of the year with almost monthly appointments, alternating between the usual venue of La Grooveria, on the Lungomare della Salute in Fiumicino, and outdoor events on the coast. The common thread remained the formula « Between Pages, Sounds, and Visions », which brings together books, psychology, art, and music.

- February 22 — retrospective presentation at La Grooveria, as part of the Day Lovers event.
- February 26, 7:00 PM — first-year anniversary evening, with the award-winning work « Ombre e Luci di un Cammino » (Laura Capone Editore), readings by actress Francesca Stajano Briganti, visual works by Giorgio Federico Zela, and moderation by journalist and art historian Viviana Normando.
- April 16 — 15th edition dedicated to « Gocce di Memoria » by Nadia Fabbrocino, with Sergio Mingrone, Sonia Buscemi, and Maria Grazia Imbimbo; works by Franco Piratoni and master Salvatore Fazio.
- May 7, 7:00 PM — new appointment at La Grooveria.
- May 21, 7:00 PM — 17th edition on « Vorrei essere come lei » by Libera Valente, with Sergio Mingrone, Sonia Buscemi, Patrizia Ercolani, and Valentina Spagnolo; visual arts by Giuseppe Basso and live music by Ezio Natale. Sold-out evening.
- June 26 — stop at the Darsena of Fiumicino in the municipal program « Sere d'Estate 2026 », with Dino Tropea (« Lasciato Indietro »), Monica Vincenzi (« Liberty »), Nadia Fabbrocino (« Gocce di Memoria »), and Luigi Casa (« Non vi sarà inferno »).
- September 24, 7:00 PM — autumn resumption at La Grooveria with new authors and new works.
A local project
The series is organized by Rockin' Lovers ETS with the patronage of the Municipality of Fiumicino, in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital. The format remains entirely non-profit and with free entry.

Where it takes place
Usual venue: La Grooveria, Lungomare della Salute 53, 00054 Fiumicino (RM). Some summer events are held at the Darsena of Fiumicino, as part of the municipal « Sere d'Estate » series.
How to get there
- By train: FL1 line Rome–Fiumicino, Fiumicino Airport station, then local bus towards the center and the promenade.
- By car: Rome–Fiumicino motorway (A91), exit Fiumicino centro; parking available along the coast.
- By plane: Leonardo da Vinci airport is just a few minutes from the city center.
Entry and times
Free entry. Meetings usually start at 7:00 PM and last about two hours. For the most crowded evenings, booking is recommended, as some editions have sold out.
Tips
Arriving a little early allows you to visit the exhibition of works set up for the evening. On summer dates at the Darsena, the setting is outdoors: a light jacket for the evening is recommended.
