Vineyard Aperitifs - Cantina De Vigili

An aperitif among the vines of the Piana Rotaliana

The Vineyard Aperitifs are the signature summer event at Cantina De Vigili in Mezzolombardo, in the heart of the Piana Rotaliana, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Every Thursday in July, from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, the estate's vineyards on Via Molini transform into an open-air lounge where you can sip a glass of wine at the foot of the Dolomites, with views stretching across the vines and the mountains surrounding the Adige Valley.

Teroldego and local wines

The stars of these evenings are the wines that tell the story of the Piana Rotaliana Königsberg, a land renowned as the cradle of Teroldego Rotaliano, the iconic red wine of this corner of Trentino. The winery's most characteristic labels are served, expressing a territory that blends farming tradition, nature, and attention to detail. This vineyard aperitif format allows you to taste the wines exactly where they are born, a wine tourism model that is increasingly popular in Trentino.

A different culinary theme every Thursday

What makes the Vineyard Aperitifs special is the food-and-wine pairing, which changes for every event thanks to collaborations with selected guests. The 2026 calendar features four themed evenings:

• July 9 — Trentino BBQ, featuring traditional local grilled dishes
• July 16 — Francesco Street food
• July 23 — Tortel in the vineyard, dedicated to the famous Trentino potato pancake
• July 30 — Alex Mexican Vigna, with Tex-Mex influences

Each evening creates a unique pairing between the winery's wines and the guest's culinary offerings, set in an informal and convivial atmosphere.

The Vineyard Aperitifs are more than just a tasting: they are a chance to unwind among the vines at sunset and talk directly with the people behind the winery. It is an authentic way to experience the agricultural landscape of the Municipality of Mezzolombardo and get a close-up look at the work behind every bottle in one of Trentino's most representative wine regions.

How to participate

Reservations are mandatory: we recommend contacting the winery a few days in advance, especially for the most popular evenings. The event takes place at the Cantina De Vigili premises, just a few minutes from the center of Mezzolombardo and easily accessible from the Adige Valley.
