Vicoli Incantati is the Christmas event that, every December, lights up the historic center of Poggiardo, a town in lower Salento in the province of Lecce, Puglia, with colors and brilliance. Created to enliven the holidays and showcase the town's streets, the event attracts families, curious visitors, and tourists from neighboring towns, turning the ancient alleys into a true Christmas village.

A Christmas village among the ancient alleys

For several evenings in December, the narrow streets of the village are filled with stalls, decorations, and a fairy-tale atmosphere. Each evening begins with the Christmas Parade, the grand holiday procession that kicks off the festivities and guides visitors of all ages along the route. Throughout the streets, you will find artisan markets, a food area with local gastronomic specialties, theater and dance performances, and numerous street artists.

Attractions for the little ones

A large part of the event is dedicated to children, the true stars of the festival. Among the most beloved installations are Santa's Room, where little ones can meet the iconic Christmas figure, and the World of the Elves, a scenic environment that recreates the festive spirit. Lights, music, and entertainment complete a journey designed to help families experience moments of authentic magic.

A local event

Vicoli Incantati is organized by the Creativa-Mente cultural association with the patronage of the Municipality of Poggiardo. Having become one of the most anticipated Christmas events in the area in just a few editions, the event combines the preservation of the historic center, the promotion of Salento's crafts and food excellence, and entertainment for all ages, helping to bring the holiday season to life in one of the most characteristic villages in the province of Lecce.

Located inland just a few kilometers from the Adriatic coast, Poggiardo is also known for the hamlet of Vaste, which is rich in archaeological and Messapian heritage.
