A night that ends at sunrise by the sea

Verso il Sud – Music & Food is an event that, as dusk falls, turns the historic center of Rodi Garganico (Province of Foggia, Puglia) into a vast, open-air stage. The alleys, stairways, and ancient squares of the village overlooking the Gargano become the stages for a roving journey where folk music meets the region's culinary excellence. It is a festival designed to last all night long, culminating in the most poetic moment of all: sunrise over the sea.

Gargano folk music

The heart of the evening is the folk music of the Gargano and the South. Various groups perform along the route, animating every corner of the historic center with tambourines, accordions, songs, and traditional dances. Alongside established bands, young ensembles also take the stage, a sign of a tradition that continues to renew itself and pass from generation to generation.

A journey of flavors

The village squares host local producers and artisans with a tasting trail dedicated to the excellence of the Gargano: extra virgin olive oils, local wines, cheeses, baked goods, and traditional maritime and rustic dishes. Visitors wander through the historic center, tasting and listening in a continuous blend of flavor and melody.

The sunrise concert

The highlight is the sunrise concert, held in a stunning location with the sea as a backdrop: the music accompanies the audience as they wait for the sun to rise, closing the night in an intimate, suspended atmosphere.

A project for northern Gargano

The event is organized by the Associazione R.O.D.I. aps, with the patronage of the Municipality of Rodi Garganico and the collaboration of the "Umberto Giordano" Conservatory of Foggia (which has a branch in Rodi Garganico). "Verso il Sud" was created with the goal of enhancing the identity and cohesion of northern Gargano, combining culture, folk tradition, and local products in a single night of celebration open to all.
