In February, coinciding with the historic Fiera di San Valentino, Bussolengo celebrates one of the most beloved traditional dishes: tripe. The Festa della Trippa e dei Piatti della Tradizione Veronese, held at the Sala Polivalente Ex Bocciodromo in Via San Vittore, is the delicious event that brings together enthusiasts of the Veronese territory's cuisine.
The 'La tripa pì bona de San Valentin' competition
The heart of the festival is the "La tripa pì bona de San Valentin" competition, which awards the best tripe prepared according to the traditional recipe, alongside the "La tripa rivisità de San Valentin" competition dedicated to the most creative interpretations of the dish. Alongside tripe, the menu features the great classics of Veronese cuisine.
Conviviality and music
The evenings are accompanied by musical entertainment, in a convivial and popular atmosphere. The festival opens on Thursday and Friday only for dinner, and on Saturday and Sunday also for lunch. Organized by the Pro Loco of Bussolengo, it is an event that enhances the gastronomic identity of the town and the entire province of Verona.
Tripe Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Festa della Trippa e dei Piatti della Tradizione Veronese enlivened Bussolengo from February 6 to 9, at the Sala Polivalente Ex Bocciodromo, coinciding with the Fiera di San Valentino. The main event was the 11th edition of the competition "La tripa pì bona de San Valentin", accompanied by the 2nd edition of "La tripa rivisità de San Valentin". Thursday, February 6, and Friday, February 7, opened only for dinner (7 PM-10:30 PM); Saturday, February 8, and Sunday, February 9, also offered lunch (11:30 AM-2:30 PM) and dinner (6:30 PM-10:30 PM). Each evening featured musical entertainment. Organized by Pro Loco di Bussolengo.

How to get there
Bussolengo is located along the SR11 west of Verona. By car from the A4 (Verona Nord exit) or A22 Brennero motorways. The event is held at the Sala Polivalente Ex Bocciodromo in Via San Vittore.
