The mixed boiled meat with pearà sauce, a Veronese tradition
As autumn deepens, Bussolengo, in the province of Verona, hosts the Bollito and Pearà Festival, one of the most delicious events in the Bussolengo d'Autunno (Bussolengo in Autumn) series. At the Sala Polivalente Ex Bocciodromo on Via San Vittore, the star dish of the Veronese table takes the spotlight: mixed boiled meat served with pearà, the famous sauce made from bread, marrow, and pepper.
Pearà is one of the symbols of Veronese cuisine, and in Bussolengo, it's prepared according to tradition. The mixed boiled meat, with its various cuts, is the perfect comfort food for cool autumn evenings. The festival is open on Thursdays and Fridays only for dinner, and on Saturdays and Sundays for both lunch and dinner, to satisfy all palates.
In addition to great food, the festival offers folk entertainment, special guests, and a kids' area with games, all in a convivial and family-friendly atmosphere. Organized by the association Le Virtù Veronesi with the support of local sponsors, it's an event that celebrates the gastronomic identity of Bussolengo and the Veronese region.
