The Carnival enlivens the center of Venafro
The Carnival of Venafro, in the province of Isernia, brings colors, masks, and festivities to the heart of the city thanks to the Parasacco event. Every year, the city center transforms into a festive route open to all, with parades, costumes, and entertainment.
A surprise theme: The Wild West
For the 2026 edition, the chosen theme is the Wild West: the invitation is to wear costumes of sheriffs, cowgirls, cowboys, and Native Americans to recreate the atmosphere of Western films along Corso Campano. There will also be entertainment for children and food stalls, for a celebration that involves families and young people.
Promoted by the community
The event is promoted by the Parasacco Association together with the Municipality of Venafro and the Cultural Association Con il Cuore, with the aim of enlivening the city center and creating a moment of shared gathering for the entire Venafro community.
Parasacco West — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Venafro Carnival, titled "Parasacco West", took place on Sunday, February 15, and Tuesday, February 17, with a Wild West theme. The city center came alive along Corso Campano with the costume parade — sheriffs, cowgirls, cowboys, and Native Americans — accompanied by children's entertainment and food stalls. The event was promoted by the Parasacco Association together with the Municipality of Venafro and the Cultural Association Con il Cuore.
