The most cherished festival in Caianello

On September 29th, the day the Church celebrates the Holy Archangels, the small town of Caianello, in the province of Caserta, gathers around its protector, Saint Michael the Archangel. The celebration takes place in the ancient heart of the town, in the Caianello Vecchio district, the original settlement perched on the eastern slopes of the extinct Roccamonfina volcano, at the foot of Monte Maggiore.
