The recreational fun run through the rolling hills of Fauglia
Valtriano Runs is a non-competitive recreational walk and run held in Valtriano, a small village in the municipality of Fauglia, in the province of Pisa, nestled in the heart of the gentle Tuscan hills. The event is part of the Pisa Trophy, a circuit of non-competitive runs organized by the Comitato Pisano Podismo, which brings together dozens of sports clubs and thousands of enthusiasts across the province every season.
The beauty of Valtriano Runs is that it is not a race reserved for specialists: it is a celebration of walking and running open to all. There are four routes of varying lengths, allowing everyone to choose their own challenge:
The paths wind along the roads and trails around Valtriano, through olive groves, vineyards, and woods, offering panoramic views typical of the Pisan hinterland. As this is a recreational event, there are no rankings or timers: it is all about the pleasure of being together in the open air.
Valtriano is a small rural village immersed in the Pisan hills, just a few kilometers from Fauglia and about twenty-five from Pisa. The village preserves historic villas and a tranquil atmosphere, surrounded by woods and olive groves. Participating in Valtriano Runs is also a way to discover this authentic corner of Tuscany, far from the main tourist flows, where the tradition of amateur running is right at home.
The Pisa Trophy runs are a staple of the Pisan spring and summer: every Sunday, a different village or town opens its streets to runners. Registration is simple and affordable, the atmosphere is that of a local village fair, and there is no shortage of refreshments at the end of the walk. Valtriano Runs, reaching its fifth edition in 2026, is one of the most beloved events in this circuit that showcases the territory of the municipality of Fauglia and the entire province of Pisa.
The 2026 edition of Valtriano Runs, the fifth of the event, will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, in Valtriano, in the municipality of Fauglia (Pisa), as a stage of the 46th Pisa Trophy organized by the Comitato Pisano Podismo.
Starts are scheduled in the morning, approximately between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM. As this is a non-competitive recreational walk, there is no ranking.
