Two days of agriculture, tradition, and mountain festivities in Coazze
The Val Sangone Agricultural Fair is the spring event that celebrates rural culture and mountain traditions in the town of Coazze, in the Metropolitan City of Turin, nestled in the heart of the Val Sangone at the foot of the Cottian Alps. Created to promote short supply chains, livestock farming, and local craftsmanship, the fair has quickly become a highly anticipated showcase for the valley's farmers, breeders, and artisans.
For two days, the town center transforms into a large open-air market. The streets are filled with food and wine stalls featuring typical valley products, local craft stands, agricultural and gardening equipment, plant and flower nurseries, and livestock for sale. The livestock areas host cattle exhibitions, while vintage tractors and demonstrations of ancient crafts tell the story of work in the fields and forests.
Saturday evening is dedicated to celebration: the spectacular tractor parade travels through the town streets starting from Via Benna, followed by an award ceremony for the most original vehicle. The evening continues with a rural dinner featuring local flavors and a DJ set to liven up the square. Sunday focuses on the exhibition, with the official opening, cheesemaking workshops, demonstrations, and the breeders' award ceremony.
The fair pays great attention to children with educational workshops, bouncy castles, and entertainment, while the Agri Street Food area allows visitors to savor local specialties. The event is organized by the Associazione 100x100 Valsangone in collaboration with the Municipality of Coazze, the Pro Loco, and agricultural trade associations like Coldiretti and CIA, confirming its deep roots in the local community.
Coazze is an alpine village in the Province of Turin surrounded by pastures, forests, and trails, a popular destination for hiking and rediscovering mountain traditions. The Agricultural Fair is the perfect opportunity to discover this corner of Piedmont, experience the authentic mountain atmosphere, and take home the genuine flavors of a land that defines itself through agriculture and livestock farming.
The fifth edition of the Val Sangone Agricultural Fair was held in Coazze on April 18 and 19, 2026, with a rich program blending tradition, taste, and entertainment.
Throughout the day: food and wine stalls, local crafts, agricultural equipment, nurseries, livestock for sale, livestock exhibitions, vintage tractors, ancient craft demonstrations, wood carving schools, bouncy castles, face painting, and an Agri Street Food area.
Coazze can be reached by car from Turin via the SP190 passing through Giaveno (approx. 40 km). By train, the nearest stations are Avigliana or Sant'Ambrogio on the Turin-Bardonecchia line, with connecting buses to Val Sangone.
Admission to the fair is free of charge. The Saturday evening rural dinner may require a reservation.
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the mountains; the weather can be cool in spring. Parking is available near the town center.
