Un Borgo di Cioccolato is the event that transforms Borgo San Dalmazzo—a town in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont—into the capital of cocoa and its derivatives every spring. For two days, the halls and courtyards of Palazzo Bertello welcome master chocolatiers, pastry chefs, and artisans from all over Italy for a celebration of taste, creativity, and Piedmontese confectionery tradition.
A fair that has gone national
Originally a local gathering, the festival has reached a significant milestone: the Piedmont Region has officially recognized it as a National Fair, a testament to the event's growth and the high caliber of its exhibitors. Organized by the Ente Fiera Fredda della Lumaca in collaboration with the Amici del Cioccolato Association and Confartigianato Imprese Cuneo, the fair is now a landmark for chocolate lovers throughout the Cuneo area and beyond.
What to expect at the fair
- Exhibition stands featuring chocolatiers and pastry chefs selling pralines, chocolate bars, spreads, and artisanal specialties;
- Cooking shows and live workshops to discover the secrets of cocoa processing;
- Chocolate sculptures and artworks, with an artistic competition and public voting;

- Themed street food in the outdoor square of Palazzo Bertello;
- Theatrical performances, music, and entertainment in the historic center along Via Vittorio Veneto.
An event for the whole family
With free admission and continuous hours from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Un Borgo di Cioccolato is designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace, strolling between stands, attending demonstrations, and indulging in tastings. Alongside the fair, the center of Borgo San Dalmazzo offers evening shows, cocoa-themed dinners by reservation, and side events that bring the entire weekend to life, making it one of the most anticipated dates on the spring calendar in the province of Cuneo.

Edizione 2026: Pinocchio e il bicentenario di Collodi
La 26ª edizione di Un Borgo di Cioccolato si è tenuta il 7 e 8 marzo 2026 a Palazzo Bertello, con inaugurazione al sabato alle ore 10:30 e stand aperti dalle 10 alle 19 con ingresso libero. È stata la prima edizione a fregiarsi del titolo di Fiera Nazionale conferito dalla Regione Piemonte.
Il tema scelto è stato Pinocchio, nel bicentenario della nascita di Carlo Collodi, con il concorso di opere in cioccolato dedicato al celebre burattino e una grande scultura realizzata interamente in cioccolato. Tra gli appuntamenti: i cooking show, i laboratori per bambini, la mostra "Arte è vita", le performance dell'artista Monica Sepe con ritratti realizzati con il cioccolato, la cena a base di cacao del sabato sera e gli eventi diffusi nel centro storico con musica, danza e degustazioni lungo "La via del cioccolato".

Programma 2026
- Sabato 7 marzo: inaugurazione ore 10:30, stand e laboratori 10-19, mostra "Arte è vita", performance di Monica Sepe; in serata cena a base di cacao e spettacolo teatrale "La magica storia di una fava: dal cacao alla Nutella" (ore 21:30).
- Domenica 8 marzo: stand e laboratori 10-19, concorso di opere in cioccolato a tema Pinocchio con votazione del pubblico, eventi nel centro storico con musica, danza e "La via del cioccolato" (degustazioni).
Tra gli ospiti: il maestro Federico Di Rosa (Cioccolato di Modica) e la Camera di Commercio di Perugia con il progetto "Chocolate Way".

By car: A33 Asti-Cuneo motorway, Cuneo exit, then SS20 towards Colle di Tenda. By train: Borgo San Dalmazzo station on the Cuneo-Ventimiglia line. Borgo San Dalmazzo is approximately 8 km from Cuneo.
