Street artists liven up the spa town of Bagno di Romagna
A Buskers' Bath is the summer street art festival that every August transforms the historic center of Bagno di Romagna, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, into a large open-air theatre. For two evenings, the delightful spa town in the upper Savio Valley, in Emilia-Romagna, welcomes national and international street artists who perform in squares, alleys, courtyards, and gardens.
Jugglers, acrobats, clowns, mimes, equilibriums, puppeteers, itinerant bands, and fire artists animate the most picturesque corners of the town. The shows, lasting about 45-60 minutes, are repeated several times during the evening, allowing the audience to move freely from one location to another along the route that crosses the village for almost a kilometer.
The performances are distributed in the most characteristic points of the municipality: Piazza Dante, the Courtyard of the Palazzo del Capitano, the Ancient Baths of Sant'Agnese, Piazza Ricasoli, Piazza Santa Maria, Largo del Palagio, the War Memorial, the Fonti Pavilion, and the Gardens along the Savio. The historic center, with its painted facades and spa atmosphere, becomes the natural setting for an evening of pure wonder.
Alongside the shows, gastronomic stands set up by the Pro Loco of Bagno di Romagna offer typical specialties of Romagna cuisine, from piadina to local first courses. Admission to all performances is free, in a festive atmosphere that combines culture, entertainment, and conviviality.
Known since Roman times for its thermal waters, Bagno di Romagna is one of the most beloved destinations in the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines, nestled in the greenery of the Casentinesi Forests National Park. The event, part of the I Percorsi del Savio program, is an ideal opportunity to discover the village and its territory in the heart of summer.
The street art festival returns to Bagno di Romagna from August 21 to 23, 2026. For three days, the historic center of the spa town, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, will host street artists who will liven up squares, courtyards, and gardens with free shows suitable for the whole family.
The dates are confirmed by the summer program I Percorsi del Savio. The complete program, with the list of companies, schedules, and performance locations, will be announced by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event.
