The high-altitude closing concert of the festival, held at noon amidst the peaks of the Sassolungo
On October 3, 2026, at noon, the Pian de Jiadoes plateau in Val Salei transforms into a natural amphitheatre at the foot of the Sassolungo Group. It is here, in the municipality of Canazei in the Val di Fassa, that the closing concert of the 31st edition of I Suoni delle Dolomiti takes place—the high-altitude music festival that has been bringing renowned Italian and international artists to the meadows, mountain huts, and peaks of Trentino-Alto Adige since 1995.
The star of the day is Daniele Silvestri, one of the most original singer-songwriters on the Italian scene. Since winning the Targa Tenco for Best Debut Album in 1994, Silvestri has built a broad and diverse following over his thirty-year career, appreciated for his unique blend of irony, social commentary, and musical depth. In the unusual, rugged setting of the high mountains, his voice and songs find an intimate dimension, far removed from the stages and amplifiers of large arenas.
I Suoni delle Dolomiti is a project by Trentino Marketing, produced in collaboration with local tourism boards and artistically directed by cellist Mario Brunello. The concerts are held at high altitude and are accessible exclusively on foot, almost always at 12:00 PM. The audience embarks on a hike to the performance site, experiencing music as a collective and immersive event where sound merges with the landscape. The 2026 edition, the thirty-first, runs from August 24 to October 3, featuring eighteen events spread across the Brenta, Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa, Madonna di Campiglio, and the Pale di San Martino.
The concert venue can be reached on foot from Canazei or Campitello di Fassa:
Admission to the concert is free; any lift costs are the responsibility of the participant. In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to October 4 at the same time and place, or moved to the Cinema Teatro Marmolada in Canazei at 5:30 PM, with free tickets available until capacity is reached. The Val di Fassa, nestled within the UNESCO-listed Dolomites, offers a unique opportunity to combine hiking, nature, and singer-songwriter music in one of the most evocative valleys in Trentino.
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM, Daniele Silvestri closes the 31st edition of I Suoni delle Dolomiti with a concert at Pian de Jiadoes, in Val Salei, within the Sassolungo Group, above Canazei. The Roman singer-songwriter brings his signature style, blending irony and social commitment, to the high mountains. The event is free and concludes a program of eighteen concerts directed by Mario Brunello, spread across the Trentino Dolomites from August 24 to October 3.
