CortinAteatro is the cultural review of Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the province of Belluno, which spreads its events throughout the entire season, from spring to autumn. Promoted by the Municipality and organised by the Musincantus association, the review weaves together different genres: opera, prose, classical and light music, in a calendar designed for the general public.
Eleven events between theatres, churches, and refuges
The strength of CortinAteatro lies in the variety of its venues: from the Alexander Girardi Hall, the town's theatre, to the churches and sanctuaries of Ampezzo which host sacred concerts, and up to the high-altitude refuges, where music meets the Dolomite landscape. It is in this setting that the review presents opera works, prose performances with leading actors, and concerts ranging from the classical repertoire to tributes to the great Italian songwriters.
Big names among the Dolomites
The 2026 programme alternates author theatre, opera, and music: among the announced performers are Veronica Pivetti, Ambra Angiolini, and the Coro Edelweiss, alongside opera productions and evenings dedicated to icons of Italian music such as Ornella Vanoni. A proposal that confirms Cortina d'Ampezzo as a place where culture dialogues with the extraordinary natural scenery of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The 2026 edition of CortinAteatro runs from April to September with eleven events organised by the Musincantus association and promoted by the Municipality of Cortina d'Ampezzo. The review combines opera, great theatre, and high-altitude concerts.
Among the announced performers are Veronica Pivetti, Ambra Angiolini, and the Coro Edelweiss, alongside opera productions and tributes to Italian songwriters, in venues ranging from the Alexander Girardi Hall to the churches and refuges of Ampezzo.

- July 11 โ Alice in Wonderland, opera production in collaboration with the Teatro Sociale di Rovigo, Alexander Girardi Hall.
- July 19 โ Concert in the woods, in the Fiames area, among the larch trees.
- August 1 โ Veronica Pivetti in The mental inferiority of women.
- August 14 โ Senza fine: tribute to Ornella Vanoni, with the La Corelli orchestra.
- August 29 โ Coro Edelweiss A.N.A., Rifugio Scoiattoli (Cinque Torri).
- September 19 โ Ambra Angiolini in The mysterious disappearance of W (from Stefano Benni), Alexander Girardi Hall.
