Three days of television, news, and media in the heart of the Langhe region
The TV and New Media Festival is one of the most recognizable cultural events in the Piedmont calendar. Every year, at the end of May, the village of Dogliani — home to fewer than 5,000 residents in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of the Langhe — becomes a massive open-air television studio for three days. The historic town squares fill with stages, cameras, live radio broadcasts, and a large audience arriving from across Italy to meet the faces of television and news in person.
Founded in 2012, the festival has tracked the evolution of the media landscape for over a decade, broadening its scope from traditional television to new digital languages, podcasts, social media, and artificial intelligence. In its first fourteen editions, it has hosted more than 1,400 guests and over 500 sessions, reaching millions of people through on-site attendance, radio broadcasts, and national press coverage. The event is supported by the Municipality of Dogliani and the Piedmont Region.
The festival is spread across several squares in the town center, each dedicated to a specific theme: from mainstream television to in-depth journalism and news, from economics to technological innovation, and meetings with writers, directors, and musicians. The days alternate between dialogues, interviews, debates, and presentations, while evenings often conclude with a concert. All events are free to attend, with no booking required, a choice that has always defined the festival's identity.
Beyond the program, the festival is an opportunity to discover Dogliani and the Langhe territory, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The village, home to the Dogliani DOCG wine (Dolcetto), is divided between the 'Borgo' (lower town) and the 'Castello' (upper town), and is one of the most charming stops on the Piedmontese food and wine trail. During the festival, the historic center is closed to traffic to accommodate the events, and local wineries, restaurants, and shops experience one of their busiest times of the year.
The 2026 edition, the fifteenth, celebrated the anniversary of the TV and New Media Festival with the theme "Courageous Dialogues," an invitation to authentic exchange between diverse ideas. Three days of programming enlivened the historic center of Dogliani with 49 sessions and over 100 guests, spread across three squares. Admission was free for all events.
A day dedicated to television, news, economics, and innovation, with panels on artificial intelligence and current affairs debates. The evening concluded with a concert by Noa in the square.
Focus on investigative journalism, cinema, digital content, and environmental issues, with the grand musical finale "Sounds from the Future" hosted by Manuel Agnelli.
Among the over one hundred guests over the three days: Enrico Mentana, Corrado Formigli, Serena Dandini, Paola Barale, Katia Follesa, and the editors of the main Italian newspapers.
By car: Dogliani can be reached via the A6 Turin-Savona motorway (Carrù or Mondovì exit) or the A33 Cuneo-Asti motorway. By train: the Dogliani station is on the Bra-Ceva line; alternatively, arrive at Mondovì or Cuneo and continue by bus or car.
All talks and concerts are free to attend, with no booking required. We recommend arriving early for the most popular events.
During the three days of the festival, the historic center is subject to traffic restrictions and parking bans. It is best to park in the designated outer areas and walk to the squares.
Dogliani and the surrounding Langhe villages offer farm stays, B&Bs, and winery accommodations. The area is very popular in spring: it is best to book in advance.
