About TV Festival

Every year at the end of May, Dogliani, a small village in the Langhe hills of the Cuneo province, transforms into the Italian capital of television and journalism. The TV and New Media Festival brings the stars of the small screen, journalism, music, and culture to the historic town squares for three days of completely free talks, discussions, and concerts. Presenters, journalists, and celebrities engage with a live audience arriving from all over Italy, set against the backdrop of the UNESCO-listed wine hills.

The festival that brings television to the Langhe hills

The TV and New Media Festival is one of the most recognizable cultural events in the Piedmont calendar. Every year, at the end of May, the village of Dogliani — home to fewer than 5,000 residents in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of the Langhe — becomes a massive open-air television studio for three days. The historic town squares fill with stages, cameras, live radio broadcasts, and a large audience arriving from across Italy to meet the faces of television and news in person.

A history dating back to 2012

Founded in 2012, the festival has tracked the evolution of the media landscape for over a decade, broadening its scope from traditional television to new digital languages, podcasts, social media, and artificial intelligence. In its first fourteen editions, it has hosted more than 1,400 guests and over 500 sessions, reaching millions of people through on-site attendance, radio broadcasts, and national press coverage. The event is supported by the Municipality of Dogliani and the Piedmont Region.

How it is organized

The festival is spread across several squares in the town center, each dedicated to a specific theme: from mainstream television to in-depth journalism and news, from economics to technological innovation, and meetings with writers, directors, and musicians. The days alternate between dialogues, interviews, debates, and presentations, while evenings often conclude with a concert. All events are free to attend, with no booking required, a choice that has always defined the festival's identity.

Dogliani and the Langhe

Beyond the program, the festival is an opportunity to discover Dogliani and the Langhe territory, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The village, home to the Dogliani DOCG wine (Dolcetto), is divided between the 'Borgo' (lower town) and the 'Castello' (upper town), and is one of the most charming stops on the Piedmontese food and wine trail. During the festival, the historic center is closed to traffic to accommodate the events, and local wineries, restaurants, and shops experience one of their busiest times of the year.

Why it's worth visiting

  • Live, free encounters with the biggest names in Italian TV and journalism.
  • Evening concerts in the square included in the program.
  • A perfect chance to visit Dogliani and the Langhe hills in spring.
  • An event that blends current affairs, culture, and entertainment in a friendly, accessible atmosphere.

TV Festival — edition 2026

The 15th edition of the TV and New Media Festival took place in Dogliani from May 29 to 31, 2026, under the theme "Courageous Dialogues." Three days, three stages (Piazza Umberto I, Piazza della Confraternita, and Piazza Belvedere), and over one hundred guests including presenters, journalists, directors, and artists, with 49 free-entry sessions and evening concerts by Noa and Manuel Agnelli.

The 2026 edition, the fifteenth, celebrated the anniversary of the TV and New Media Festival with the theme "Courageous Dialogues," an invitation to authentic exchange between diverse ideas. Three days of programming enlivened the historic center of Dogliani with 49 sessions and over 100 guests, spread across three squares. Admission was free for all events.
