The major LGBTQIA+ pride march in the Piedmontese capital
The Turin Pride is the main LGBTQIA+ event in the Piedmontese capital: a day of celebration, advocacy, and visibility that transforms the streets of Turin into a vibrant river of rainbow flags, floats, music, and banners. Organized by the Coordinamento Torino Pride APS, which brings together dozens of local associations and collectives, the event is one of the most attended in the northwest, drawing tens of thousands of people from across the Province of Turin and the rest of Piedmont.
The heart of the event is the grand parade, which sets off in the early afternoon from Parco del Valentino and winds along the city's main avenues and streets to Piazza Vittorio Veneto, where a large stage hosts closing speeches, guests, and artists. Along the route, there are musical floats, performances, moments of reflection, and dedicated accessibility areas, with services designed to ensure participation for everyone.
More than just a march, Turin Pride has become a defining moment for the city's queer community and the entire region. The event is part of the broader national movement of Italian Prides, with strong local roots that make it one of the most important civil and cultural events of the Turin summer.
The parade starts from the Parco del Valentino area, which is easily accessible on foot from the center of Turin. The Turin Porta Nuova station is just a few minutes away; the GTT tram and bus network serves the entire area, although traffic and transport line changes are expected on the day of the Pride.
LIS interpretation for stage speeches, sensory decompression areas along the route, an accessible bus for those with mobility issues, and medical assistance services are all provided.
The event is free and open to everyone. Comfortable clothing, water, and sunscreen are recommended for the summer season.
