About AmMira Festival

AmMira Festival is the major summer event organized by the AIEF Foundation, bringing culture, civic participation, and social regeneration to the suburbs of Turin. From May to August, the open spaces of the AIEF Center in Mirafiori Sud and the Castello di Lucento transform into meeting hubs for the entire community. The program features over fifty free events, including theatrical performances, concerts, workshops, book presentations, and social gatherings, all designed to restore beauty and vitality to these two vibrant Turin neighborhoods.

A festival that revitalizes the suburbs of Turin

AmMira Festival is much more than a series of events: it is a journey of urban and social regeneration that the AIEF Foundation carries out in the suburbs of Turin, in the heart of Piedmont. Every summer, from May to August, two iconic locations in the city—the AIEF Center in Mirafiori Sud (the famous Punto 13 on Via Farinelli) and the Castello di Lucento in the northern outskirts—come alive with music, theater, literature, and social connection, becoming cultural landmarks for local residents.

Culture and community, free for everyone

The festival offers a rich variety of events for all ages: from theater to live music, temporary exhibitions to book presentations, and workshops for children and adults to public meetings on city and neighborhood issues. All events are free and open to the public, in line with the AIEF Foundation's mission dedicated to childhood, adolescence, and civic education.

A regeneration project involving the local area

What makes AmMira Festival special is its participatory nature: every year, the event involves over thirty organizations, neighborhood associations, schools, citizens, and institutions. Through structured processes of listening and co-design, the festival gathers the needs and desires of Mirafiori and Lucento to guide future urban redevelopment and local service development. It is not an event imposed from above, but a celebration born from the grassroots that restores lived-in and well-cared-for spaces to the neighborhoods.

The Castello di Lucento and the pony farm

Among the most evocative venues of the festival is the Castello di Lucento, an ancient residence restored thanks to the Foundation's work. It is also home to a small farm with mini ponies, dedicated to educational, recreational, and rehabilitative activities for vulnerable children and teenagers: a tangible symbol of the rebirth of this corner of Turin.

A project promoted by AIEF and Turin's institutions

AmMira Festival is promoted by the AIEF Foundation, with the support of the Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT and in collaboration with the City of Turin and the Fondazione per la Cultura Torino, as part of the city's summer programming. An initiative that, edition after edition, has brought thousands of participants to two neighborhoods in the Province of Turin that are often far from the cultural spotlight.

AmMira Festival — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of AmMira Festival takes place from May 9 to August 7, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of the AIEF Foundation. The program includes over fifty free events, including meetings, workshops, performances, and participatory moments, enlivening the Castello di Lucento and the AIEF Center in Mirafiori Sud while involving over thirty organizations, associations, schools, and citizens from the Turin suburbs.

The new edition of AmMira Festival, scheduled in Turin from May 9 to August 7, 2026, celebrates five years of activity by the AIEF Foundation and marks another step in the regeneration of the city's suburbs. Over fifty events, including performances, workshops, meetings, and participatory activities, will take place at the Castello di Lucento and the AIEF Center in Mirafiori Sud, with the involvement of more than thirty organizations, neighborhood associations, schools, and institutions.

The inauguration at the Castello di Lucento features an important novelty: the new mini-pony farm, dedicated to educational, recreational, and rehabilitative activities for vulnerable children and teenagers. Once again this year, all events are free and open to the community, as part of the summer programming of the City of Turin and the Fondazione per la Cultura.
