A journey through the five senses

Troina Buona in tutti i Sensi is a festival that every autumn turns the village of Troina, in the province of Enna, into a vast multisensory experience. Recognized as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy and the first Norman capital of Sicily, this Nebrodi town welcomes residents and visitors for a weekend dedicated to experiencing the territory with all five senses: the taste of local products, the sight of artistic heritage, the sound of live music, the touch of nature, and the spirit of popular traditions.

The thematic areas

The event is divided into five main areas, each designed to stimulate a different sense:

• TASTE (GUSTA) — tastings, street food, and show cooking featuring local, zero-mile products, prepared by students from the Troina Hotel Management School;
• ADMIRE (AMMIRA) — exhibitions and guided tours to discover the museums and alleys of the historic center;
• LISTEN (ASCOLTA) — live music, roving performances, and evening sets blending tradition with innovation;
• Nature and excursions — walks and guided tours through the Nebrodi landscape;
• Traditions and entertainment — folk shows, family activities, and moments of leisure.

Taste, culture, and health

Beyond its culinary and cultural dimensions, the festival focuses on health: in collaboration with the ASP of Enna, free cancer screenings and nutritional education meetings are offered, promoting well-being and prevention, which are highly valued by the community.

A Nebrodi village waiting to be discovered

Promoted by the Municipality of Troina together with Slow Food Sicilia, the Pro Loco, and the Troina Museum System, the event highlights the local farming and artisanal culture through an open call for agricultural producers, artisans, and restaurants. Along the streets and squares of the center — particularly Piazza Falcone e Borsellino and Via Aldo Moro — food stalls, performances by the "A Musetta" Folk Group and the Radio Studio Centrale Band, exhibitions, and tours weave together, revealing the most authentic identity of Troina and inland Sicily.
