A gastronomic and musical journey through a Nebrodi village, part of the OttobrArte festival
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Every autumn, Note di Gusto brings the historic center of Longi to life. Perched at an altitude of 620 meters in the Fitalia river valley, in the heart of the Nebrodi Park in the province of Messina, this is one of the most beloved events of the Nebrodi season: an itinerant gastronomic and musical tour where traditional cuisine engages with Sicilian folk music.
The event winds through the village's historic streets, from Corso Umberto I to Piazza Belvedere Serro, crossing the ancient quarters. Along the way, visitors can sample traditional dishes and recipes, while folk groups accompany the stroll with melodies and songs of the Sicilian tradition. The initiative focuses on promoting and recovering local recipes, from homemade bread and desserts to the meats and cured products of the renowned Nebrodi black pig.
Note di Gusto serves as the grand finale of OttobrArte, a cultural festival that animates Longi throughout October with excursions, guided tours of monuments, nature walks, and workshops dedicated to the ancient crafts of the Nebrodi. The event celebrates the culture, music, and fine dining of a mountain region rich in traditions, offering residents and tourists a chance to rediscover the village's identity.
The event is promoted by the Municipality of Longi in collaboration with the La Stretta Naturalistic Association and AVOL San Leone, with the support of the Regional Department of Tourism, Sport, and Entertainment of the Sicilian Region. It is a collaborative effort that unites local institutions and associations to promote the territory and its food and wine excellence.
The 2026 edition of Note di Gusto in Longi has not yet been officially confirmed. The festival usually takes place in October, as part of the OttobrArte program, with an itinerant gastronomic and musical tour in the village's historic center.
Dates and the detailed program for the 2026 edition will be announced by the organizers, the Municipality of Longi and the La Stretta Association. To stay updated, it is best to follow the official channels of the Municipality and the association.
