About Trinitapoli in Corsa

Trinitapoli in Corsa is the annual spring road race that transforms the streets of Trinitapoli, in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, into a nearly 10-kilometre course winding between the urban landscape and the stunning Saline Wetlands. Organised by ASD Atletica Trinitapoli, the event combines FIDAL-sanctioned competition, a non-competitive fun run, and junior races, making for a Sunday of sport open to all of Puglia.

Running in the heart of northern Puglia

Trinitapoli in Corsa is the premier running event that draws hundreds of athletes every year to the town of Trinitapoli, in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, northern Puglia. Organised by ASD Atletica Trinitapoli with the support of the local municipal administration, the event has become a staple of the regional calendar, attracting over 500 participants, including registered athletes, enthusiasts, families, and children.

A course between city and nature

What makes this race truly special is its nearly 10-kilometre route: after an initial 1.6 km loop through the town centre, runners head into the magnificent Wetlands of Trinitapoli, a protected natural area within the salt pans that houses the famous Casa Ramsar. It is a unique landscape where athletic performance meets environmental beauty, set against a backdrop of flamingos, shimmering pools of water, and Mediterranean scrub. The finish line is located at the "Sandro Pertini" Sports Hall, the logistical hub for the entire day.

Competition and participation

The race has a strong competitive spirit: it serves as a stage of the Trofeo degli Ulivi and as the FIDAL BAT Provincial Individual and Club Championship, drawing the best running clubs in Puglia. Alongside the competitive event, there is a non-competitive fun run for those who prefer to enjoy the course without a stopwatch, as well as youth races for children and beginners aged 4 to 11, which bring the day to a lively close.

A celebration of sport for the whole community

Beyond the sporting aspect, Trinitapoli in Corsa is a true community festival: music, entertainment, award ceremonies, and the inclusive participation of seniors, families, and young people make it a landmark event. Over the years, the organisers have successfully blended sport, regional promotion, and social initiatives, highlighting both the urban centre and the natural heritage that makes Trinitapoli and the BAT province a destination worth discoveringโ€”even at a run.

Trinitapoli in Corsa โ€” edition 2026

Over 500 participants tackled the nearly 10 km route between the town centre and the Wetlands, in a race valid as a stage of the Trofeo degli Ulivi and the FIDAL BAT Provincial Championship.

The 14th edition of Trinitapoli in Corsa confirmed the event's great appeal, with around 500 participants including professional athletes, enthusiasts, young people, children, and seniors. A true "triumph of colour and sport", as defined by Mayor Francesco Di Feo, which showcased the territory between the city and the Wetlands.
