Three days of music, nature, and beauty in the Tremiti archipelago
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Tremiti Music Festival is one of the most evocative musical events of the Apulian summer. It takes place in the Isole Tremiti municipality, the only archipelago in Puglia, located in the Adriatic Sea off the Gargano promontory in the province of Foggia. The heart of the event is Piazza Sandro Pertini on the island of San Domino, where the stage lights up every evening with the Mediterranean scrub and the sea serving as a natural backdrop.
The festival was founded in 2018 and has established itself over the years as a high-quality event, bringing major names in Italian music to a unique environmental setting. The artistic direction is entrusted to saxophonist and composer Roberto Ottaviano, a leading figure in Apulian jazz, who gives the festival an eclectic character: not just jazz, but also singer-songwriter music, world music, and new trends in the Italian scene. The format remains consistent: three days of concerts in late August, with free admission.
What sets the Tremiti Music Festival apart from many other events is its close bond with the territory: the music engages with the nature and beauty of the archipelago, a popular destination for seaside and nature tourism. Reaching the Tremiti is part of the experience—arriving by ferry or hydrofoil from the ports of the Gargano and the Adriatic coast—and the evening concert in the square becomes the perfect social gathering to end a day at the beach.
The festival is promoted by the Puglia Region and produced by Puglia Culture as part of the Puglia Sounds project, in collaboration with the Isole Tremiti municipal administration. It is part of regional policies aimed at promoting live music and local territories, with the goal of extending the tourist season and bringing prominent artists to even the most remote and fascinating locations in Puglia.
Recent editions have featured well-known names from the Italian music and jazz scene: from the seventh edition in 2024, with guests such as Nada, Malika Ayane, Dirotta su Cuba, and Susanna Stivali, to the eighth in 2025 with Bungaro, Maria Pia De Vito, Chiara Civello, and La Niña.
The Tremiti Music Festival returns for the summer of 2026 to the Isole Tremiti, in the province of Foggia. Following the success of previous editions, the festival is expected to take place in late August with the usual format of three evenings of free concerts in Piazza Sandro Pertini, in San Domino, under the artistic direction of Roberto Ottaviano.
At the moment, the Puglia Region and Puglia Culture have not yet communicated the official dates or the line-up for the 2026 edition. This page will be updated with the detailed program as soon as it becomes available: we recommend checking for updates on the official Puglia Sounds channels before planning your trip to the archipelago.
