Trasaghis's Summer

Trasagas in Fiesta is the summer event that has animated the town of Trasaghis, in the province of Udine, in the hilly and pre-alpine area near Lake Cavazzo and Gemona del Friuli, for years. Organized by the Pro Loco (local tourism board), the festival spans over a week straddling late July and early August, with the church square as its focal point. It is a village festival in the truest sense of the word: gastronomy, music, and social gatherings involving the entire community and many visitors.

The Dishes That Make the Difference

The cuisine of Trasagas in Fiesta has some signature dishes that make it unmistakable. Alongside the fried calamari, a real draw of the festival, stands out the Cais alla Trasagana, snails prepared according to the local recipe. The stands also offer grilled meats, frico (a Friulian cheese dish), sausage sandwiches, arrosticini, wienerschnitzel, French fries, and polenta made on-site: an abundant and varied offering ranging from Friulian tradition to the great classics of the summer festival.

Concerts, Competitions, and Cosplay

The entertainment program is rich and designed primarily for young people. Evenings come alive with concerts by local and national bands and with DJ sets, while collateral events include dance performances, fishing competitions at the nearby Lake Cornino, and even a quad bike race. A now traditional and highly anticipated event is the cosplay contest, which brings color and creativity to the square, confirming the festival's ability to innovate and attract a broad and diverse audience.

The festival takes place in the church square of Trasaghis, reachable from the Gemona del Friuli and Lake Cavazzo area. The event is traditionally held between the second half of July and the first few days of August.
