A night of rock under the stars in Cinisi

Traino Rock is one of the most anticipated summer events in Cinisi, a town in the Metropolitan City of Palermo overlooking the gulf, just a stone's throw from Terrasini and Punta Raisi airport. Every year, on late August evenings, the central Piazza Vittorio Emanuele Orlando fills with stages, amplifiers, and an intergenerational crowd arriving from across the region to enjoy great live music. The event is promoted by Pro Loco Cinisi 2.Zero APS, with the collaboration of the municipal administration and the support of the Cinisi Merchants' Committee.

A comeback after nine years

A historic local event, Traino Rock made its comeback in 2024 after a nine-year absence as part of the broader Cinisi Fest program. The massive success of its return convinced the organizers to make it a permanent fixture of the Cinisi summer calendar, serving as a fantastic opportunity to showcase the historic center and local businesses.

Tribute bands and live music

The heart of Traino Rock lies in its tribute bands: groups that recreate the greatest hits of international rock and pop. Recent editions have featured acts dedicated to U2, Sting, Dire Straits, and Pink Floyd, alongside sets that bring the psychedelic atmosphere of the 60s and 70s Flower Power era back to life. There is also plenty of space for local musicians, such as the Cinisi-based band Blackout, who are invited to open the evening and represent local talent.

Gastronomy and local products

Traino Rock is about more than just music: between concerts, the square becomes a large, convivial gathering place. Visitors can enjoy sausage sandwiches and savor craft beer from the local Bruno Ribadi brewery, while the handicraft market stalls display creations from local artisans. There is also a tourist Info Point managed by Pro Loco volunteers, designed to introduce visitors to the beauty of Cinisi and the Palermo coast.
